SUPER CAR EVENT IN AID OF THE CHILDREN'S TRUST

So my day started with me up a stepladder trying to get a shot of as many Supercars together as I could - sadly the Helicopter was yet to arrive so once again I had to conquer my (albiet mild) fear of heights. The rest of the day was spent capturing this most excellent annual event and there was plenty to capture. TV presenter Craig Phillips was once again on hand to keep the crowds entertained and Patron, Phil Tufnell dropped in to show his support - at one point disappearing round the Top Gear track in a Lexus with none other that the Stig himself!

My personal highlight for day 1 was joining Craig and the AV team up in the helicopter for some birds eye views but in general it was great to see so many excited faces and families enjoying the many things on offer to do. Even Gotham's own son came along and like all the drivers donated his time, fuel (& tyres) to help raise funds for the Trust,

Mark Dixon from TV show 'Eddie Stobart - Trucks and Trailers' brought along his fellow members of Team Tic Tac providing a colourful display of Ford Focus RS & ST's & he even stepped in to do a bit of presenting

Other Guests included, Paralympian and long term supporter of the Trust - Sophia Warner, Pro GT3 driver - Valerie Chiasson, Racing Driver Jake Hill, Fitness TV presenter Laura Sherriff and another Sheriff - this time with just the one 'R' - The High Sheriff of Surrey - Robert Napier. Some more special guests expected tomorrow (Sunday too!)

I have lost count of how many years I have done the Supercar Event which was originally called 'Dad's Day Out' but noticeably there were a few more Ladies driving this year and certainly plenty of ladies and kids enjoying being sped around the track - so it's a day out for the whole family now not just Dad's.
