For the past two years I have been enjoying special guests in my garden on the bird feeder which started out about 30 feet from the kitchen window and is now just ten feet away (depending on how big your feet are). A family of great spotted woodpeckers are regulars as are Norris n Norma the two local nuthatches and a family of goldfinches which have been attracted by the introduction of a Niger seed feeder. This latest image of the mum of the pecker family was taken from an open door with a compact lumix - she obviously feels safe and carried on eating regardless. #woodpeckers #gardenbirds #goldfinches
